Reflections 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, we are excited to welcome a new beginning and embrace the opportunities that 2025 will bring. Before we look ahead, we want to highlight some of CSPP’s best moments and accomplishments from 2024.

Construction Working Minds Conference

Only one month into my role as a CSPP Outreach Coordinator, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2024 Construction Working Minds Conference in Kansas City. Starting my CSPP journey at this conference was especially meaningful as it set the stage for the work I would be doing and ignited my passion for our mission. Not only did Max present Rethink the Drink, but we also built meaningful connections with other suicide prevention organizations, partnerships that continued to flourish throughout the year.

Training Success

Our end-of-year reflection wouldn’t be complete without celebrating our training efforts! In 2024, we conducted over 49 training sessions and trained an estimated 2,223 people. We enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to work with various companies nationwide to equip their employees with suicide prevention tools and knowledge. Along the way, we’ve heard stories of hope and transformation, reminding us that our efforts are making a real difference and helping to change the culture around mental health, one person at a time.

This month we have our last QPR session of the year on December 18th at 8am PST. Register here to join!

Video Toolbox Talks

Another major milestone was completing our video toolbox talks—a resource we’ve been working on throughout the year. Despite challenges like my Grand Jury Duty, Crystal (our co-host) welcoming a new baby, and our video producer running for mayor, we persevered. We’re thrilled to have successfully produced 11 toolbox talks, now available for free on our website. These videos will provide accessible mental health resources for companies and workers anytime, anywhere. Check out some of our latest videos here!

Partnering with Riverbend Materials and ACME Construction Supply

This year, we also forged impactful partnerships to create co-branded materials. With Riverbend Materials, we co-designed a cement mixer truck featuring the 988 crisis line and CSPP’s website. Special thanks to Taylor Patrias, Meghan Gillette, and Paige Downer for spearheading this project!

Our partnership with ACME Construction Supply also resulted in a successful QPR training series. Together, we trained 228 ACME employees in suicide prevention. To support this initiative, we designed co-branded hardhat stickers. ACME has distributed them to employees across multiple locations. A big thank you to Kendra Moritz and Meghan White for their dedication to this project!

Gratitude to Our Supporters

Finally, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated their time and resources to CSPP this year. Your support and belief in our mission fuel our work and allow us to continue making an impact.
